The Mae Sariang Loop
Mae Sariang sits beside the Yuam river near the border of Burma Northwest Thailand and due to it's accessibility (not nice in a bus) Mae Sariang attracts the more adventurous tourist.
This is our favourite short motorcycle tour as it offers off the beaten track locations plus Mae Sariang in our opinion is one of the happiest places in Northern Thailand, relaxed and often quite lively at night. Only a small town with traditional values and most buildings still built from Teak.
Mae Sam Laep on the burma border where you will take your boat trip is one of the most unique villages in Thailand a mixture of Bhuddism and Muslim. An ex refugee camp now a river port with locals originating from the Kachin state in Burma many with Bangladeshi origins. Truly a great short motorbike tour full of surprises and great photo opportunities.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many hours riding?
Day one will be around 6-7 hours riding with stops on great roads up to 1800 mters above sea level. The second day is a relaxed day with only a 2 hour (return trip) ride to the border for your river cruise arriving back to our hotel around 4pm for sunset.
